I enjoy the schadenfreude, but I’m a little ashamed that my only take-away from this is, “How the hell am I a year older than Jindal, Rubio, and Haley?”

I was also born in Miami, like Rubio. I wish I’d known. I would totally go back in time and give him a wedgie. Except, I wonder that maybe I did give him a time-wedgie, and that somehow led to him becoming a Republican. I don’t know. I guess I have to see if I get the chance and go from there. Time travel is hard.

Well see G, I just have to disagree.
I say let the Peg have all the glass, sharp objects, and yes keyboards— sans computers and an internet connection— her little palpitator organ desires. I’d even throw in daily hot soaks and razor blades. Live and let live, and let Peggy be Peggy.

I used to be so offended by the provocateur types like Coulter or Limbaugh, which of course is what they want. But, as some meager shreds of wisdom have tempered my outlook and steeled me against the obvious trolls one encounters under the odd bridge, I find it’s the Peggy Noonans of the world who get up my nose.

Whether it’s the repetitive-strain-induced hubris of that “savor” piece, the “My mind! My beautiful, beautiful mind!” recoiling of the “sometimes you just have to keep on walking” torture elision piece she wrote after the Abu Ghraib story broke, or her generalized bafflement at the modern world around her that ranges from a helium-huffing Bubble-worthy “Who can say?” to the prediction of a certain Romney victory — based on yard signs, mind you — shared only by small pebbles and gin-soaked, newborn, concussed ducklings . . . well, I think the poor dear needs to be put out to pasture with as much valium and Benedictine & Brandy as she likes.

And kept away from glass, sharp objects, and, most importantly, keyboards.

I kinda tuned out to all the hype from either side and went with statistician with a blog who has pretty much got it right last election and again this election: Fivethirtyeight on the New York Times.

It pretty much nailed down the winner using science and math!
